JUANITA IS RETURNING AND HAVING A FUNDRAISER WITH HER FRIENDS!

I have been living in Tunisia for the past six months, where I have been so warmly welcomed into the Tunisian Bedouin community, and the Sahara has called me like no other place...

Most Tunisian Bedouins are very poor, and they are lucky to have their basic needs met. And medical assistance is expensive. There is one family with a son, a little over a year old, who has a lump in his neck that has touched my heart. They are very worried about him, as are the doctors, but they cannot afford the surgery that is needed so badly.

So, I plan to have a fundraiser hafla for this family. ALL of the proceeds will go to them to pay for the surgery. If there is any money left over, there are many other families that also need basic things. Such as a goat. Or doors for their homes. Or medical care.

The fundraiser will be a fun night, I can guarantee! Musicians, singers and dancers! And Kayan has amazing food and great atmosphere. But if you can't make it to the fundraiser, I would be happy to accept a donation as well. I will be in Vancouver from Feb. 3 to Mar. 15 or so. Just email me.

Bellydance classes with Juanita: Juanita is currently unavailable
to teach classes in Vancouver, Canada, until further notice,
as she is currently based out of Douz, Tunisia.
